Midland / Odessa's Oasis in the Desert

Ivan and April Williams would like to formally introduce their new business.  The Shack in the Back, as Midland / Odessa's finest and most unique party atmosphere available.  The Shack is conveniently located on Hwy 80 between Midland and Odessa.  It consists of 3.5 acres of beautiful landscaped property, a 1 acre horseshoe pond surrounded by willow trees, and a 3000 sq. ft. building.  The ambiance of this facility is none like you've seen in Midland / Odessa.  It's designed throughout encompassing a diner atmosphere, commercial kitchen, big screen TV, complete stereo system, pool table, old collector items and many more items you can't wait to see.  The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful.  You feel as if you are walking amongst an oasis in the desert.

The Shack in the Back will prove to be a great place for hosting engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, weddings, receptions, holiday parties (Halloween, Christmas, New Years), class reunions, family reunions, company meetings, board meetings, safety meetings, luncheons, showers, organizational and charity fundraising events, birthdays, retirements, anniversaries, concerts, and other types of events or special occasions.  We invite you to come see the grounds and our facility.  Catering is available.  When booking your next event, don't forget, the Shack in the Back is the finest new rental facility in town.

The facility will rent according to the day of the event, the length of time required, and the number of people planning to attend.  We feel that the floor space in the interior of the Shack can be rearranged accordingly for different events.  The space now accommodates seating for 52 people, without adding additional tables to the existing floor plan.  However, the space will seat (banquet style) approximately 150-200 people on the patio and around the gaming area.  The 3 acres or so will allow for a very large number of people (500+), with weather permitting.  Accommodating restroom facilities, with commercial approved fixtures and hardware, are being added to handle large numbers of patrons with convenience and comfort.

The Shack in the Back allows the renter to coordinate catering with the individuals they so choose.  However, we provide a small arrangement of food packages for different situations.  April will be available for any assistance in arranging catering services or additional planning services.
